rancher said:I'll try the leather pad too. It's worth a shot at this point. Maybe the frizzen is rebounding fast enough that I can't see it happen, but it ends up in the fully open position. For some reason I don't think that is the problem, but hey I've been wrong before so it certainly could be.

alabamaboy said:That could be the problem mine hits half way down and I tried moving the flint couldn't stop it from breaking flints until I eased up on the frizzen spring now that might not work on his but it was just a suggestion he might not feel comforable working on his gun .I Don't blame him in the least.
