    CVA Kentucky vs. Jukar Kentucky

Today nearly all rifles from the production of Ardesa or Traditions are well made, low cost, but well made and good shooters. That was not always the fact. About 10 year ago there were so much differences in quality of the same modell, real cruel. You could have get a real nice Kentucky or...

    CVA Kentucky vs. Jukar Kentucky

Hello from Germany! Nearly all modells of CVA are built in spain and look similar to the modells of Ardesa/Traditions who bought Jukar or Dikar a while ago. In my opinion all are straight shooters. I like especially the Deerhunter and the Woodsman Hawken from Ardesa/Traditions. Regards...

Comparison of CVA and Traditions Hawken

Hello from Germany! After comparing the two Hawkens I found that they are nearly similar. As far as I know the CVA trad. ML were produced in Spain like the Traditions/Ardesa ML. Now my question: Where can I get iron furniture for the Traditions/Ardesa Woodsman Hawken? Regards Kirrmeister

    Finally: new deerhunter made meat!

Hi Dilly, thanks for your comment! You are right. This is the cleanest way to field dress them. Cut all out from the tongue down to the guts. So the deer is open completely and can cool down. Best to serve the good meat. Regards Kirrmeister

    TC 45 patched ball combos?

Hello from Germany! First of all congrats to your decision to go traditional. I vote also for real bp. In my .45 Deerhunter I use 90 grs WANO PP (like FFg), a .440 RB, .010" lubed patch and a spittled overpowderwad. I use this load for hunting roedeer. Regards Kirrmeister

In my expirience deer fell down like hammerhit when impacted by a conical. I have seen this when hunting roedeer and weaker boars. Regards Kirrmeister

    Maxis in a 1 in 66" barrel!

Dan! I have already tested around. Otherwise I would not have posted all this. I have also harvested game with the Maxiball. And I can say my Maxis with my charge of bp hit there where I aim up to 50 m. Regards Kirrmeister

    Maxis in a 1 in 66" barrel!

I'm not talking about the T/C maxis, but mine look similar. They have only a bigger diameter, because the T/C are too small for Ardesa barrel rifling (guess the T/C have .451 Dia). Mine are selfcast and lubed with a bp cartridge lube. I only lube the lower groove. I found that a maxi will work...

    Maxis in a 1 in 66" barrel!

Hello from Germany! Yesterday I tested my .45 Deerhunter rifle 1 in 66" ROT at 50m with .452 maxis and 90 grs WanoPP. I have to say that the result was outstanding. 50m from the bench I got a 3 shot group of 18mm/.75". So nothing to say about it, except very suitable for hunting, especially...
