    Where to buy blackpowder?

I've been using KIK from powder Inc. Love it. Only complaint is the plastic cans have an odd size thread for the cap, so the spouts that fit Goex or Swiss cans do not work. Other than that it is great stuff and it's cheaper for me to have it shipped in a 25 pound mixed lot, then it is for me...

    Jaeger..

Didn't want to mention it earlier but it's really starting to bug me now. One flaw I see and it's a bad one. Lock is on the wrong side... :blah:

    Fowler still shooting low...

Just for sh*ts and giggles how do you do that, and I would assume the barrel is bent in the direction you want the ball to go...correct?

    Smooth Bore Hawken barrel

I tried asking them when I was looking for one. No help, all they said was keep looking on the second hand markets.

    Smooth Bore Hawken barrel

That would be correct for T/C. GM doesn't make the IBS smoothbore barrels anymore. Hard to find. I got one but not selling at this time.

    Flintlock Southpaw

I'm a lefty and have shot right handed flintlocks, nothing to worry about. If your having one made then of course have it made for a lefty.

Thanks to all for the suggestions on my flintlock

Thanks Greg. Heading to Dixons this weekend and a can of 4F is on my shopping list, will try Null-B instead if they have it.

Thanks to all for the suggestions on my flintlock

How does the Null-B work in dispensors being so fine of a powder and how much less do you use compared to 4-F?

    tc cherokee

No your wrong. It was a fire that destroyed a section of the factory where they made the Cherokee, Seneca and left handed rifles, they also lost all of there records from the previous years.

    Marvel Mystery Oil

It's petroleum based so should never be used as a patch lube, if used to lube the bore it should be thoroughly cleaned out before firing a round. Natural lubes only and spit is best, it's free and always available.

    new Uberti 1860

Try pinching the #11 caps before you place them on the nipple. Typically solves your problem. What did Dixons have in stock (C&B pistols)? Mike

Jug Choke by Caywood Guns in Arkansas

No experience with their jug-choked barrels but I could not imagine them doing anything but an outstanding job for you. I have seen a few of their long-guns and it's all top quality. I'm sure they perfected the process before they offered it as a service to customers.
