    hey jdm all of these are great suggestions. one thing I would do is after you load your gun and before you cap it pull the nipple and look in the drum there should be powder in there. if not you have a blockage. try dribbling some powder in there replace the nipple blow or wipe off any left over...

    creek don't worry about pushing the ball past the flash hole on you frontier it has a patent breech that is around twenty caliber. make sure the ball is all the way down against it and fill the breech with powder through the flash hole, prime and shoot in a safe direction.

    hey D123 I usually put my touch hole pick in the touch hole before loading. then after loading, before priming pick the powder in the bbl. a little so it is not so compacted at the touch hole I seem to get better ignition this way. anyway this seems to help me.

    hey lawman I have used the hornady pa hunter bullets in my cva 50 cal mountain rifle which has a 1 in 66 twist with the pa hunter's or round balls I have shot a number of groups in the 3/4" range.at the time I was shooting at 75 yards and my eyes were better then. shoot straight.
