    :grin: :applause: After 8 long months, i recieved my .58cal Leman from TVM, and it turn out to be the beauty i was looking for, super premium maple, 32" barrel, and the powerful .58 ready for the elk woods. tried to post pictures, it didnt work :surrender: someone help me post my pictures thanks

    Bees wax & bore butter

    I melted 1/2 tube of bore butter with 2 ounce's of pure bees wax, and buttered up some .58 cal T/C maxi's and left them in my garage where 110 degrees is normal in AZ. The mix held up well on the maxi's, and the tube of bore butter was soup, so this mix is the way to go

    One word to sum up the big boar is POWERHOUSE, with 95 grs of ffg and a 555 gr maxi,its a hoot to fire,and it shoots a pretty good group a 50yrds

    I shoot a .58 TVM Leman flintlock which G R barrel recommends a .575 round ball which i shoot, the other two common .58 cal sizes are .570 and .562 which i have but never tried. Does anyone shoot these other two?

    Thats true, i shoot a .58 TVM Leman flinter and the bore butter works great on my patches, the big lube problem is the .58cal maxi's for my T/C big boar capper

    I've tried alot of the the things all you guys mentioned, but not to many things will stand up to a day at the range, or shooting in the desert when the temp is 105-115, and if you leave any thing in the garage over night you can pour it out the next day, especially wax, iam originally from...

    looking for a maxi ball and patch lube that will stand up to this az heat.I use bore butter now that turns into soup. Does anyone know of something that will be just as effective, but will stay stable in the arizona heat

    Iam having this .58 cal leman made for me at TVM, and i keep throwing around in my my mind to have them cut the barrel down to 32" from 36" to make the gun alittle lighter and more maneuvable for hunting, the barrel they use is a green mountain, does anyone think it might effect the accuracy
