He spelled that out in his post. Revolver, brass frame, most likely 44 caliber..

    filler or no filler

IMO filler is only needed if the powder charge is too light and won’t take up enough space in the chamber to insure that, when the projectile is seated, it’s in firm contact with the powder. In other words the rammer will bottom out before the ball is home. Some shooters, real marksmen, hold...

    sprue up or down

I cast my own, on the range loading em in the revolver how ever they land on the mouth of the chamber is how the get pushed down. Then again I’m not match shooting for scores either.

    How do you eat them

Grits are very bland, as in lacking flavor, so it must be the texture that is off putting to some. Shrimp and grits, that’s a dish fit for kings. Add lots of butter, cheese and various herbs and spices to the grits. The grits are just a vehicle to carry it all. 😁

can't pay with a check, so goodbye to this board.

My self I don’t understand the resentment to modern methods of payments. Paper check are a heck of a lot more easy to scam or theft than electronic transaction. My example. All credit cards and debit cards, wife’s included are monitored by the bank. With in seconds any transaction appears on my...

    Round ball spin.

I shoot those style firearms not mentioned here also. A wad cutter will “cut” a neat round hole as it passes thru a paper target, carrying away the “wad” of paper. A semi-wad cutter like wise. I’ve never seen a conical or round ball leave a round hole in a target. Sure, flatten the hole amd it...

The Words We Use and How They Define Us

And yet here in Rhode Islamd deer and Turkey thrive in suburban Areas. I live in the city, same house 53 years, skunks opossum and rabbits are seen occasionally. My eldest sons house, same city abuts a disused tank farm property, and also backs up to a green way space. Turkeys are common and...

The Words We Use and How They Define Us

In the North East with its somewhat limited land space for animal populations and stricter hunting laws, harvest is a meaningful term. Sure animals are killed, but the aim is to limit numbers to allow the habitat to support a health herd. States, thru various means, set limits on animal...

The Words We Use and How They Define Us

We’ve ran this to ground several times. Pistol was derived from a French word that meant a small hand held firearm. Single shot back then. So pistol is any firearm designed to be held in one hand when fired. Autoloaders, revolvers multi barrel or single barrel, all are pistols. Revolver simply...

The Words We Use and How They Define Us

Have noticed off and on recently the words, injured and wounded, used interchangeably in the news media applied to victims of car wrecks or other catastrophes.
