High Cost of Caps and Powder-Gets Crazier

I can give some simple advise about GUNBROKER,don't buy ammo there! Most of it is for sale by the creepy little scalpers and their buddies making their runs to Walmart and other retailers to buy the ammo up.Then X2's the price and onto Gunbroker.Slimey dealings but hey it's "AMERCA" ! I have...

12 Ga Pedersoli shotgun and the Sky Chief Turkey load

Not to be a smart a**,but those are not good patterns. You better pull back to 25 yards and hope the pattern gets better. You should have a average of 6 or more pellets in the brain and spinal cord, like the poster above said.Turkeys are not that easy to kill, and very seldom are a stationary target.

Anybody use a Pedersoli 12 gauge double for turkey hunting?

Anyone have any pets loads for the fixed choke models. Mine is the older, lighter version. Don't want to mess with shotcups, probably start with Skychief's load.Any help appreciated Thanks.

    Bobby Hoyt barrel work

Does he have to have the hardware off of the barrel to rebore it? I can take it off but won't if not needed.Got a TC ready to send to him,but forgot to ask him about that.Don't want to make that Pain in the butt call again LOL!

    Lyman GPR Cracked Stock

If you run a screw down in the stock across that crack, I don't know how it could get worse. It stops at the lock bolt hole.I do not have Idaho Rons exepertise but I have probably fixed a half dozen TC stocks that way and never had them get worse. That crack as most people know is super common...

    Jonathan Browning Mountain Rifle question

Notchy Bob,I think you are right on the geometry of the spring causing failure.I have heard that before, and have heard of a lot of shooters breaking 2or3 springs.I have a .54 browning and never worried about the spring,I would just get someone to fabricate one if needed. But getting that spring...

    Idea of value?

Offer them $300, they will probably take it. And if its what you want $350 is not bad these days. If you got one in hand and its nice grab it up.Can't tell you how many guns I turned down for $50 to much and then chased around for another 6-12 months wasting gas and money!!

Almost feel like breaking down TC’s

Hell, that's cheap compared to some I have seen. New kits are approaching a $1,000. There is a new group[ on the web] TC enthusiast's.95% of the group has no idea of TC's past history. It's like a feeding frenzy on there, people on Ebay and Gunbroker etc. spending whatever it takes to keep up with...

    Rawhide Wrap

If you don't like looking at the crack, just take a nice piece of tanned Deer hide and stitch it tight around the wrist. You can then patina it with dye or grease to darken it up. I think that is better than Rawhide. Rawhide can be a pain to work with.
