    Goex (again 😀 )

You don't think I would gripe if someone put an egg in my beer?

Possibles Bag and Powder Horn Proper Carry Position?

There is no set rule. I shoot right-handed, so I like my bag on the left. I carry my horn on the right.

What did I do to get kicked off?

I had foru problems in the past. Are you using a VPN? You may have to temporarily turn it off.

    Goex (again 😀 )

Goex is now owned by a new company. Why not wait until we see what they do and not start casting aspersions? Even so, the military will be most of their focus, from what I understand, not civilian.

Hoping it's sooner! Good luck either way.

    Goex (again 😀 )

I shot Goex for years before I tried Swiss. I was not at all disappointed with Goex. Swiss is more energetic though, and cleaner burning. I probably have enough Swiss to last the rest of my life. I'm still rooting for Goex's success, and would like to think the new owners will have a better...

    Goex (again 😀 )

    I don't know, new owners.

    Goex (again 😀 )

Yes. Swiss is stronger, and I reduce my loads on average of 10% over Goex.

    Goex (again 😀 )

I didn't know that giving free powder to clubs. Being stuck out in the sticks has it's good points, but it also has bad points, too. There is no club within a 2-1/2 hr drive from me.

    Goex (again 😀 )

Yes, but when Goex comes back on line, I prefer supporting American businesses.

    Goex (again 😀 )

I've never used Schuetzen, But I hear Schuetzen is a good powder, I've never used it. All of my experience has been Goex and Swiss. Swiss is the best, but that doesn't mean Goex ain't no good!

    Grains by weight or volume???

Black powder is measured by weight, but loaded by volume. I tested my adjustable powder measure to see if the volume weight equal the actual weight.

Well, I did say I could be wrong!

    muzzleloader cal .22 possible?

I have had a few bad shots with my .36. Then, there was the time I was deer hunting with my .62 with 120 gr. 2f and a .610 RB. There was a squirrel above me that kept barking, and throwing things a me. I finally had enough and shot it. Guess the outcome!

    muzzleloader cal .22 possible?

Me thinks that would be BB size. I could be wrong.

My Kibler Colonial is coming along...

Pardon me, but I don't think you did a bad job at all on your first carving.

    Flints??

I have the best luck with either Black English and French Amber. The French Amber is a little but harder, but some guns like the English flint better. Several factors include the hardness of the frizzen, the geometry, and the strength of the cock spring, and of course the piece of rock itself...

    From perc to flint

Third in agreement to overlapping. Your best off getting a whole new barrel and breech.
