    Lee ball molds

I'm in the market for a ball mold, specifically, a .490 for my .50 cal rifle. I bought a lee .458 ball mold for my ruger old armuy and the ball wasn't the tightest fit . Just wondering if that was a fluke or are the Lee's sub par?

    Trail Hawk

I've been using the Trailhawk for over 5 yrs. and will probably not switch anytime soon. I use mine for competition, that 2" cutting edge is great for center cutting cards and getting the high scores!

    Leaf spring knife

I agree with using known steels and I buy 1095 for most projects. The spring was free and so was the antler. Sometimes it's just fun to use salvaged material.

    Knife project

Very cool. I've been wanting to experiment with more non-conventional antler handles, that looks great!

    Leaf spring knife

Thanks, 5160 is what I've been told. The bolster is Padauk and leather spacers. The tang is a little narrow, but Ileft it the full 1/4" thick, so I'm pretty confident it will hold up to use.

Pappa bear hit it dead on. When Hunting, our first responsibility is to our prey. If you can get a clean kill with period sights, more power to you, but I switched to a peep and white bead as my sight began to disapear when the meat started showing up(around five years ago).
