Gosh that looks like a place on north lake rd. in upstate new york. Its illegal to feed deer now, but a few years ago they didn't enforce the law to often, and many places did help supplement there food source, the area is part of a huge deer yarding area, and deer from miles away migrate to...

    Help with Identification

I think its probably a matchlock of some sort, taken from a spanish explorer, however why do you think its a seminole, looks to be a pretty arid area, with yucca plants and prickly pear cactus.

NEW silly things you've witnessed (or done)?

went to a meat shoot a few years ago, we were shooting at 50 yd targets and when it was lunch time they stopped the shoot for lunch, the club who sponsored the shoot was making hamburgs and hotdogs and was trying to make a few bucks. Oh well, the range officer asked if there was any hot loads...

    Pedersoli Blue Ridge rifle

Seems to me I read somewhere that Ted Hatfield did copy the stock from a a southern mtn rifle, but I don't really care if it was a copy of an original or not, my Blue Ridge 50 flintlock shoots just fine, vary quick reliable lock, and accurate too. :m2c:

I wanted a 45cal, (there was an article on 'em in Muzzleloader Hunting). So I called about a 45, but all they had left was a 50 so I bought...

What I learned at the NYSMLA shoot

Hi Lou, Good to hear you had a good time, I live only a few miles from there, and usually go down to check out what the sutlers have for sale, then go down to the firing line to watch 'em shoot, always a bunch of nice guns to look at, and usually find some one to chat with. Great bunch of...

    Blue Ridge Flinter Blues

I agree with Daryl, Its generally better higher up, than down in the pan, as Daryl stated you don't get the fuse effect, when the pan powder ignites the flash shoots thru the hole into the chamber, some shooters have had problem with flash hole being to small, and have drilled there liner hole...
