    Original 1863 Enfield

You can buy flash guards from The Log Cabin Shop or Dixie Gun Works. If you want an "authintic" nipple protector.I would suggest Fall Creek Sutlers, or The Blockade Runner. The proctors are made of lead, attached to a small chain that attaches to your trigger guard. cost about $10.00 In regards...

    Possum eatin'

I recall my grandma telling me of eatin' possum when she was a child, coon too. IMHO I would have to be AWFUL hungry to eat one (possum).I skinned a big boar coon years ago with the intention of eating him. When I got the hide off, he reminded me of a dog, and I couldn't do it.

    What kind of lube?

For the range.... spit AKA saliva, plentiful and cheap for PRB. For hunting, or minies/conicals 50/50 mix of beeswax and canola oil you can use olive oil but it costs more. I don't buy into all the "wonder" lubes sold over the counter. You pay for the name and not much else

    Lubing lee molds

I ruined a Lee mold due to lack of lubrication. After talking to one of the Lee customer service reps, he suggested I use anti-sieze on my molds. It is designed to use on bolts/nuts so as not to corrode together. I've been using it for a while with no problems. Use an old coal oil lamp to black...
