    Shot size fer squrrils...?

    #5 is the smallest shot I would use on a squirrel. They tend to pass through the critter with fewer for the gourmet to bite down on.I'd much rather nail them with a .311rb backed with 15 gr of goex...but what ever your medicine is,enjoy.

    I own 2 Mowreys a .32 and a .54 both in brass. Mighty pretty to look at and even more fun to shoot. I use a .530 rb/.015 patch and 80gr goex 2f. If you find one, snag it!

    Tips for casting please

    Put a bit of tin in your lead. Its a heavey bullet and will bump up to fill the grooves even at bp pressures.The tin will help the lead flow more smoothly into the mould.But thats just my .03 cents.BY the way..I cast the same bullet for my .451 Rigby...

    My Mowery has a max of 60 3f and a prb..I shot it loaded like that once...I use 15gr of 3f under the .311 prb..nice medicine for the varmints I eat.

    Since you are using a home made plug...I've noticed that the one in my mold has 4 vents running the length of the plug space 90 degrees apart..Something you might want to consider...
