    parched corn..another way?

amen to that brother, have tried many ways, but always go back to drying sweet corn over a winter, however, when in a hurry and have no dried corn, your method of using frozen corns works like a dandy. bouncer :v

ignorant question so bear with me please

Is the rifle a cap or flint lock...there is some difference in cleaning methods...and probably as many different methods as there are shooters. Anyway, if it is a cap lock, first remove the nipple, and there is a device that you can buy with a fixture on one end that screws into the hole left...

    hitting target

Been shooting a 24 ga. Curly Gostomski trade gun for years and a spit wet patch is all I ever used. Sight alignment is different on all guns, depending on your eyes..mine being old I have to pretty close bury the front blade under the tang. Also being an old timer, I grew up being taught that...

    need help with charcloth

Old fashioned GI cleaning patches....pure 100% cotton 1 1/2" square works great as char. I have wrapped it in aluminum foil, poked a hole to vent the smoke and cooked it. Better do this outdoors, 'cause wifey might not like the smell in the house. Also could use a metal bandaid can with a...

Thought this posted earlier, but musta got lost...anyway, requesting any info on horn making. Have some extra time on my hands coupled with some nervous energy, and in the past have channeled this into gun making, pouch making etc., now want to try my hand before it gets too shakey, at making...

    4F Additive called "Raincoat"

I agree, bought some from ole "Fuzzy" years ago, used it a couple of times, it slowed my "fire" time more than I liked. Good ole fashioned cows knee, or keep'er tucked under your armpit and refresh liked suggested. Bouncer

    Cocking situation.....

Alrighty then, sounds like you got some options here, and all sound doable, I just shot the damn thing the way it was and as I told you after the "black thumb web" affair, just held my hand a little further back and made sure it was pointing down range at all times. bouncer

say "hollar" from mid Ohio. Put onto this here site by a ole camping buddy, we shared many campfires over the years. Started in this here lifestyle at the 2nd National Eastern Rondevous held at Nancy Hanks' place in WVA back in '79. Pretty much out of the active camping, got too old to sleep...
