Muzzleloader season for deer comes in tomorrow for Indiana. I like squirrel hunting the best, but I suppose I'll spend the 40 dollars for a license in case I get a chance at one. It's supposed to get up to 38 degrees tomorrow, but down to 22 tonight. We have been getting some lake effect snow off of lake Michigan for a few days so there should be an inch or two on the ground in the morning before it starts melting. I do like a little snow on the ground because you can see movement a lot easier through the brush.

It's deer Shotgun now.. you can't hunt anything else for 2 weeks.

Had a ton of fun rabbit hunting.. and pheasant.

Right now my deer spot has no deer. It's usually good but there's fresg snow too. Today I found one track this morning. I followed a while to see if I could get into more but no nothing.

There are deer.. but now I have to either find where they went. Or.. wait and hope they show up back one day.

I dont think there still bedded.. they should have moved by now.

Did I mention it's cold..

Deer used to be my favorite.. but I used to hunt them in a few states and was sitting purity here and there.. now i hunt just public land close by.

She wasn't dripping. that's the only spot.

When I got up this morning at 0400 it was 46 degrees. The temperature has been falling since. Last time I looked, it was 26 degrees. Heading down to 15 degrees tonight. The cold NW wind is howling and expected to do so all night.

Doesn't look like I'll be doing any squirrel hunting once again for a few days. Chomping at the bit to try out my new

Warmer weather forecasted for the next few days beginning tomorrow. My “want bumps” are itching to go to the woods. If the sun would be nice and bright, even if it’s cold, as long as the wind is mild, squirrels usually come out to play.

I'm telling you men this. yaw are a good bunch of fellers. I so enjoy sittin here and reading your conversation. it's good to see!!!! I tried walking in the woods and fell. busted my butt today.sort of made me feel bad dang back and right leg ain't wanting to work right yet but I'm going still try to climb that tree and go hunting soon. I seen several tree rats and after deer season it's going be on I hope. but I thank you all for letting me sit here and enjoy yaws conversation. BET it would be fun sittin at a campfire and listen to yaw.thank you again for showing me just how people can have a conversation in peace and fun.

One interesting thing I did witness last spring was two squirrels going in and out of the same drey. One would go in there and sometimes remain for a minute or two, leave and the other squirrel would run in there and do the same. I know not what they were doing in there.
