Is it worth getting my camera and putting it somewhere else..

If anything I'd like to get a picture this season.

Not one picture. Nothing.

And I mean not even a squirrel or birds or anything.. there's nothing

I did notice. There is a camera on the woods not far..

There was an old one there. Now a new one.. there's always one there. Year round.

What the trick. He's doing somtin.

It's the same deer crossing more or less were watching.

Just because he doesn't move his. He's even upgraded it..

Do I leave mine in the area there for next year even.

He's watching that spot.. year round.

I'm just thinking.. if I put a camera everywhere I like and then sit back and wait. Leave them there.

It helps to know there's nothing.

Ed, I have to admit that at least on my property, I am known and expected to hunt squirrels from one of my trees stands..., if it's good enough for deer why not squirrels? After all, we spend countless hours seeing probably hundreds more squirrels during archery season than we do deer. :)

Still pretty hard to beat sitting down and leaning up against a big old oak tree though. Although that seems to lend itself to wanting to take naps, especially on sunny days.
lol. I've been known to take naps laying against a tree too. A few tears back I was checked at my truck by a game warden.Everything went good. I was talking to him about hunting tree rats after deer season from my climbing stand.ughh he snapped at me and said if he seen me in tree stand hunting after deer season I would get a ticket.Well he was rude. I told him it wasn't against the law that I knowed of lol. He said do it and see. ugh sort of aggravated me a lot

We dont have Squirrels over here, but plenty of Hares and Rabbits, Wallabys (small mountain kinda Kangaroo) native Possums as well.

Wallaby and Roo are good eating and snares or Traps can catch the smaller game, Wild Fowl particularly Ducks are plentiful in the better rainfall country like where I am; so all in all we're blessed for wild game as you good folk are in the US.
dang no tree rats. 😕 😢

Some game wardens are pretty descent fellas. Some treat everyone the come in contact with like they are violators and part of an international poaching ring. I had a group of 3 come flying up on me once pretty quick and hop out. It was bow season, they asked their usual questions, checked my tags, measured my broadheads, etc..when all done I commented on how they drove up and hopped out, how they do that to a guy with PTSD or something, it might get hairy. The youngest one, he puffed up and started jibber jabbin, I just turned my back to him and secretly hoped he put his hands on me. I've mellowed some with age.

yep I know where you coming from friend. We had some that were very nice and some were just plain rude.Bad thing about it lol I usually met the rude ones. Had a lot of very bad situations with one particular game warden years ago.We had some very harsh words and after that one episode he signaled me out.If he seen my truck rest assured he would be waiting when I got out. Finally I had to call in about him.It finally got so bad I told him to take the badge off and gun. Step across the ditch. wasn't good that day. He was going arrest me.It so happened that day he had another game warden with him. He was very nice.He told the guy that he was in wrong that day and said they needed to leave. It got a little hairy that day. Think they finally had to move him away from that area. Everyone was complaining and calling in. Later on a year or so think I heard he lost his job.

Was he trying to hide from a

Wardens I've run into.

I have ptsd from them.
They have all always been very professional that I've seen.

Example... I got pulled over one day leaving fishing.

We had caught and registered some big ones.

He said he was sorry about not putting my fish in the papers because I was under investigation for catching that fish. So he was birding me.

That's probably my most interesting run in with a warden.

We are famous here kinda on that lake..

People still talk about that fish. Specifically my wife's fish..

People go there every year looking for trophy brown trout because of my wife's fish.

The year we caught that fish. There were 2 Celtics players fishing close to my spot. One said and it was a girl that caught it...

my wife was like that's my fish. she Yelled from the boat 😆..
