Well I'm off for the next 2 days. I'll do my best to get out there. I know the squirrels are coming out right at daylight, sun just barely shining light above the horizon.
And aging in the afternoon.

Best wishes to all.

Good luck Fred👍 give Britt a workout!

I got out one more time before the end of the year. It was partly sunny 46 degrees and west wind of 5 to 10pm. Squirrels were still very skittish, but I was still able to bag a nice male.

Nice Boom, real nice. Glad ya got out there. Beautiful picture all the way around..
Happy New Year

I plan on going out Monday when squirrel season reopens in PA. I’ve been getting reports from my son’s family about the black squirrel sightings on their property during deer season. We didn’t have black squirrels where I am from in Ohio (recently moved to PA) so I sure would like to get a black one in my sight.
It took longer than I expected but finally was able to be in the right place at the right time. IMG_1045.jpeg

My gun is a TC New Englander 12 gauge jugged choked extra full (turkey) by Danny Caywood. I am using 75 grains of FFG, three .070 over powder cards, 1 3/8 oz (90 grain measure) of 6 shot, topped off with a .070 over shot card. I bought the upland bag from ajbennetnc and my shot pouch is a larger leather ball pouch (holds about 2 pounds of shot) by beaverman2. Always hunted with squirrel dogs till the last couple of years so always have used a shotgun. I got a .32 caliber Ohio half stock (percussion) and a Kibler .40 caliber SMR to get use to before next season.

Your set up is nice.
Sounds like you have a fine selection of muzzleloader. I'd like to see the .32 Ohio Half stalk.
Keep her going, my fellow Muzzleloading Squirrel Hunting Friend!

Has Jim K sent you a PM yet?
