One used yet fine Fowler in flintlock form. 42” barrel thin walled Getz barrel.
Walnut stock with a real neck repair finished with fine brass wrap! I’ve fired this gun and she is a honey! Selling it to thin out the herd! Looking for 800 US price is negotiable. The gun is a solid gun! I take PayPal, check or MO.

That is seen on many original trade guns. It was to reenforce the nose wood from hard use. Semper Fi.

Why is the nose band a concern? The stock is obviously broken?

Decorative bands that are offset typically have minimal support to the muzzle area. It’s usually done as decorative or to compensate an error such as a miss drilled lug.
