For sale is an antique British Light Dragoon pistol made by BARNETT (Circa 1800). It’s very similar to the Model 1760 Dragoon Pistol, but a little bit smaller. I believe these were intended for private military purchase.
It’s missing the original lock (I can include the pictured British Military lock plate, which roughly fits if you’re interested). Wood stock has a few broken bits that will need to be spliced in.
The area surrounding the touchhole either has a liner, or started to go through a reconversion - I’m not sure (I bought it in a collection from another collector a while back). It’s marked with British proofs on the top of the barrel.
This should make a really handsome pistol with a new lock and wood splicing!
Barrel is 7in (I’m pretty sure it’s still full length) and overall length is 13in.
