Like my auto, I buy what I can aford and what lasts and preforms to my needs. I drive a toyota. I would gladly have bought another dodge but the last one lasted 67K miles till the engine knock started. 570K miles on the toyota, has all the equip I need + and shows no signs of wearing out. Powder? Gotta make my guns go boom, consistent accuracy and COST. I stocked up on Schutzen when the rumers about the end of the world started. Goex? I will buy a pound when (LOL) it is available to try it out if its cost is at or less the Schuetzen. America lng ago went from quality to quantity (of cash in corporate big wigs an crooked ploiticians pockets).

Goex will have powder out when the military is happy with what they are putting out. Their powder is mil spec even what they sell to us. That’s why it’s dirty. The military doesn’t care about how clean it shoots just density and burn rate. I’m sure the stock pile has dwindled since the shutdown. Goex has a rep at the gun makers fair. And personally I don’t think you could have paid me enough to be that guy. They would have been better off having a sign that said “coming soon”.

Pretty cr4ppy attitude. The government paid them to set that all up I’m and is their main business. Did you donate money to help them get going again? Of course not.

Their mail customer is the government, not a small niche hobby.
Sorry I don't donate to for profit companies, I patronize them by purchasing their products if they can supply a quality product for a reasonable price.

I'm headed for Friendship in a few days. It will be interesting to see how much powder cost there. At the last shoot Schuetzen was $22 a pound out the door but I suspect it may be higher at this one. Hopefully, they can keep it below the fake powder Pyrodex price at WM of $24.73.

They better hurry up before hunting season starts or they might miss their window. I imagine anyone that is low on powder will be buying it real season.

I guess you’ll be getting your welfare powder?
I like a guy with a sense of humor.
If put to it I can make my own black powder again, it takes some patience and a good deal of care but otherwise it is not that difficult. And if done correctly it performs very well.

My first season starts last week of October, then day after Christmas. Fortunately I stocked up last time Grafs had a sale so Goex will have to work to get my business. LOL

I really don’t understand all the Ill feelings towards Goex…

They had a fire, explosion whatever you want too call it. They were shut down.

It wasn’t like they said “screw” all the black powder shooters let’s just shut the plant down..

I was one of the fortunate ones too have enough powder too be able too continue shooting during the shortage. Thankfully.

This is even more reason if you don’t belong too a Club, maybe it’s time you join one..

Most clubs buy powder in bulk and keep a supply on hand.
If there’s not one close, maybe start one if you can find a couple people with an interest.

If you just a loner, a hunter and live out in the boondocks, nows the time too start building your supply if at all possible.

Just in case there’s another closure of the plant for a safety reason.

Goex at $24 a pound & supporting an American made product imho in this day & time isn’t a bad deal..

Just be glad your not one of modern muzzleloader shooters…
