I'm with ya. Moved a stock under strong lights to get a better look at a rear entry pipe I'm inletting. Hard to concentrate in that corner with "Spring" looming outside my North window.

That window is on the second story. :shocked2:
4' drifts of Spring on the main roof need to be shoveled tomorrow.

Hey Colorado not for us in RI. Fourth Nor’easter in as many weeks. Another 6 to 10 inches of snow expected tomorrow! Counted over 60 robins in a field near my house today. They just arrived. Talk about poor timing. 😀. Art

Starting at the upper left, moving clockwise: Wool blanket lined, heap covered rifle case; belt knife with forged blade and diamond-shaped walnut handle; pillow ticking lined haversack with leather flap reminiscent of an English game pouch; late 18th century, .62 caliber English-style coat pistol; large 18th century powder horn; belt knife with Damascus blade and antler, horn and pewter handle.

Bored with winter? Not us!

We decided to avoid it and Alaska this year, so our list reads something like this: Sunshine. Warm water. Palm trees. White sand. Tarpon. Snook. Redfish. Sea Trout. Permit. And 60 degrees feeling cold enough to require a jacket! :rotf:

Sorry. Had to rub it in. Friends left here a couple of weeks ago for their home in New Hampshire, arriving just in time for a succession of three Nor'easters and over 40" of new snow at their house. We just picked them up at the airport as they turned right around and came back ahead of Nor'ester Number Four!!! :shocked2:

yes, I am bored with winter. for the record ... yes ... one vote yes... who's counting the votes? can this person be swayed to add a few to the 'yes' column? perhaps some maple syrup? a few cartons of eggs, or some really nice home brew?

another vote yes.

let's do mud season, and then blackfly season...

maybe i'm not really all that bored ...

We have 2 seasons, Winter and Road Construction...

Primative biatholons perhaps, but not geezer shoots! I am a geezer and I prefer not being shot.

SB: We run primitive biathlons and have geezer shoots all winter, no time for getting bored!

Interesting projects and getting out makes winter go by all too fast. Do you have primitive biathlons in Maine? I was reading about one in NH (I believe) where do you have yours? I'd really like to see something like that here. We have shoots all winter , but when it gets really cold our club sometimes meets at the indoor range to shoot unmentionable guns.

Really nice work, simonbeans! I made a powderhorn strap from an old purse strap, but that's all I've accomplished as far as muzzleloader projects so far this winter. I'd like to make another nicer strap and found a thread about someone weaving straps from a homemade loom...looks very interesting...a guy can spend too much time admiring projects on this site and get nothing done on his own!

Mother nature can make up her mind, gets up to +15c during the day at times and -25c at night, its all over the place. Snow melts completely then replaced with new snow, got 2" last night to cover the naked ground again.
