.32cal = 1:30"
.36cal = 1:48"
.45cal = 1:48"

TC's load data charts lists a .36cal/128grn MaxiBall with 2F charges as follows:
40grns = 1761fps/mv
50grns = 1843fps/mv
60grns = 2001fps/mv

Thanks roundball, T/C does not list that bullet anymore however I found that Buffalo Bullet Co. produces a 125gr. Hollow Point bullet I will try them.
Thanks
Jack

PS: You can usually find TC .36cal stuff listed on EBay & GunBroker pretty often.

Plus, there's some outfit who makes/sells cast .36cal maxi-balls...I think they're bare and you have to lube them yourself

When in doubt of a barrel's twist just put a tight patch on a jag and measure the distance ramrod travels for 1 revolution. It's easy if you put a faint stripe at TDC, on the ramrod. A lead pencil is fine and can be wiped off. Often the guy on the phone merely looks at a data sheet and really has no idea what it means. Plus these co's change twists and don't tell us. I'm sure you guys, in the forum, already know this? :thumbsup:

Tried that with my 36 Seneca and thought I came up with 1-30.Maybe I measured wrong.My 32 Cherokee looked a little faster at 1-28.Might have skipped a little.What is the Cherokee suposed to have?
