Are the heart shaped item horse heads, if so if ya hammer the bottoms of them to a flat screw driver blade they make nice hoof pics. nice work.

The Guild of Metalsmiths based out of St. Paul Minnesota published a small booklet on forging up animal heads on iron work. It is called IRON MENAGERIE copyright 1991. It shows step-by-step photos of making many animal heads: steer, blue crane, duck, wolf, ram, buffalo, owl, bear, mouse, horse, eagle, and a rattlesnake out of a horseshoeing rasp. It's only 33 pages, but a great inspirational little booklet. I don't know if the Guild sells it direct from their web site, but I do know they sell it through Centaur Forge www.centaurforge.com
