Refining mortices and everything forward . Gonna take a few days ... Scary part ! Gotta get it thin ! but not f$#@& ups ! Trying to make mortices symmetrical and take off all excess .... Ugh !!
Thanks bud . I'm at final sanding . She's a dandy !Looks great @Rob M. !
So what is the rule if there is one on how far from the muzzle to put the front blade and how do you hold it in position when soldering it on with out needing three hands .And what size is it approximately, thickness width and high.I thinks that’s it.I got the nose down close to final so ...time for that dreaded nose band .... I got it in this evening but I'll post a cleaned up pic of it tomorrow ... What a pain BUT ! Done .... So ... I have a BIT more form sanding on the forearm but then after that ...I'm down to final sand on the whole gun ! This thing has really drug on ! Probably just seems that way working on three guns at once ! LOL .... So sand , final sand , engrave side plate and thumb plate , then finish !! Then stamp and rings on barrel and put on frontbblade , then start browning the barrel .....
I'm sure everyone is different but I hate when they are close to the muzzleSo what is the rule if there is one on how far from the muzzle to put the front blade and how do you hold it in position when soldering it on with out needing three hands .And what size is it approximately, thickness width and high.I thinks that’s it.
.....soldering ....in action . If the f$#@%ers will download .... .080-.100 thick .... This one is .200 high ....to be trimmed and shaped to final later. I roughed shaped it and made bottom flat on grinder before starting the solder process .....So what is the rule if there is one on how far from the muzzle to put the front blade and how do you hold it in position when soldering it on with out needing three hands .And what size is it approximately, thickness width and high.I thinks that’s it.
