I think the stock is well made. It's not PC/HC, but serves very well. The rifle is long, slender and shoulders fine. The longer barrel gives you more stability when shooting off hand. No problems with lock, trigger or any springs. Mine is very easy on flints, some going 100 shots before changing. I did drill my touch hole to 1/16th" and coned it. She fires first time, every time. I also switched the front sight to a thin silver blade. The factory front sight is thick and tapered, so as you file it down it becomes wider. The thin silver blade gives me a better sight picture. I've shot my Blue Ridge in several matches with great results. When I carry it through the woods, that long and slender rifle feels very light and handles great. I feel that the Blue Ridge is the best production long rifle on the market. This sale price is the lowest I've seen in years. As I said before, it's just another option worth considering :v
