I had my debut with Elephant powder also. Bought a case of it in ? 2001 ? it was some nasty stuff. :imo: Had over a one to 2 second delay in all my flintlocks & tested it against Goex & Swiss & had no delays at all with them. Accuracy wise I found the Elepnant to be very accurate, but the ignition delay bothered me as I was not used to having a delay, and the fouling on the Elephant was horrendous. I mean big chunks of thick fouling & I tried tighter loads, loose loads, more powder, less powder, the stuff was just plain aweful. Absolutely HAD to swab after every shot........
Anyway, part of it went to fellers that said they wanted it, some of it went as lawn fertilizer. It makes the grass real purdy........ tho there is a 1-2 second delay in the new sprouts starting off !

So how bout that Eleephant powder anyway!

I'm gonna stick with Goex, and sell or give away the Elephant powder I have. We don't get out shooting enough, so no need to try something new that might make a less than pleasant experience for my kids!

Thanks to everybody who offered information. It helped me out a bunch.:master:
