Realizing Fowler is a shotgun first… what can you expect with round ball in accuracy?
I’m thinking of getting one…. A local gun shop has a nice .62 for sale.

Don’t be afraid to put a really, really low-profile rear sight on the gun when you get it.
It will make you a more consistent shooter.
 
Here's the national record for smoothbores at the NMLRA. Shot at 50 yards, 13 shots, throw out your worst three. This score a 99 out of 100. Three inch group. Unfortunately, I didn't shoot the target but I did make the gun. .55 cal no rear sight and a simple pull trigger. I do own the gun now.
