Love how you carried the balustered wrist all the way down ... too many miss that on FdC builds!
I love the long wrist into the buttstock. So many reproductions go not even a third of the way back , love how some of the originals go 2/3 back or even bit more , love the way it looks .... Its a pain to do though but worth it ! :)

Chisel along your wrist line then chisel out some of that comb ....and repeat ....just keep on doin it until its down to or close to the line you drew on top of the comb . That line on comb is a reference point for me as the line should be a bit rounded , not straight . Now .... Be careful and see how your grain is running , when you find out might want to leave a note ...the one side on here I'm buckng the grain going towards the front , goes DEEP ....gotta be careful ....so I turned the gun around went in the other direction so I dont accidentally go too deep and pop out a chunk and ruin the stock .... Stop at the line I'm pointing at , no chisel work from there to B.P.

Then ....mark your mortice boundaries , pic is S.P. side of course , .... Get the wrist , where shooter will be holding it , to size vertical and horizontal.... Once thats done then you can start the even symmetrical sweep from buttplate to mortices .....knock down your corners first then start the flow . Keep looking down on it and at diff. angles make sure doing good and symmetrical .... Starting to get some form ....
