Butt stock is actually lookin pretty good , I stayed on it longer than I usually do the first time ...gonna take a break and come back to it , see if I can slim it down more later ....now ....how professionals make high quality rarmrod pipes .... Step one , find old tool box that has p!$$ed you off once too often.....cut off a chunk of the lid , flatten said piece of sheet steel , cut out blanks to size .... so far so good .

Oops ...make sure you mark each pipe , its position and which opening is front ... A pie e of ramrod is good for tapping ramrod down and for lying it up when needed ...plus to test to make sure a ramrod will slide in front hole and not get caught on e dge , its down enough .... Also , when inletting pipe make sure to look at pipe ft m side and make sure its sitting even ... Keep inletting until its level and both bottom openings are level with bottom of channel ...got the first one done .... Lordy ...my back is killin me and I need a coffee ...

What I want to do for this f&%$ing entry pipe ....well , I want to throw it in the brush BUT ! what I'm gonna do is ....I'm gonna take the area around the entry pipe down , maybe not to final but darn close so ...I'm slabbing off the S.P. side , last of the slab off of the build , knock all the corners off in the area , if I get a burr in my @%$# I might take the while mortices forward to " in the rough " , we'll see ....but the forearm and area just ahead of the entry need to be taken closer to final . I have to watch my ramrod hole location and not go too deep when taking forearm thinner but need it close to final because ....( Lordy I hate building g Fusils over NW guns , meh ) the skirt on these Fusil de Chasse are pretty even with the pipe proper ,some guns the skirt go bit higher , not here so ...that ramrod hole is d@mn close ! You dont want that wood too thin in the forearm ! Pay attention ! So ....I'm gonna knock it all down all around and then after every thing in area is in roughed in shape I can judge the skirt , how close to rlR.R. hole etc. If skirt is too high a ramrod will not slip in there so ...gotta be just right ....no bend in the skirt like some rifles have .... So ....knock off all the corners then see where we are .....
