My garden survived hurricane Francine. I had slim hopes for it and my fence.

My fall garden is coming along nicely, I think. Looks good in the morning, but by 3 in the afternoon, the heat makes them wilt some. But they are still hanging in there.

Part of me wishes that I had planted a Fall garden and part of me is glad I didn't.It probably wouldn't have survived the heat. And I'm down in my back again. Retirement was supposed to be taking it easy. Ha ha on that. Believe me, I am staying busy.

I have a turnip plant by the corner of my house that appeared out of the blue. Likely bird droppings after they were feeding in then neighbor’s deer food plot…

It’s been looking beautiful in the morning, and totally wilted in the afternoon. I’m waiting for the purple top to get big enuf to eat…

Had a bumper crop of wild persimmons this year for some reason. Have a little over five gallons in the freezer. Apples produced well too. Good mast year for the hickory nuts. I like to eat them just hate how long it takes to get to the meat. Beans produced foliage in abundance but only one or two pods for some reason. Strange year.

I had really bad germination from seeds I started the year with from Rural King. Livingston seeds were a complete waste of time and money.

Corn, cucumbers, green beans…. Next to nothing.

It used to be just store bought tomatoes that were tasteless. But here lately other items of produce don't taste like they used to. Carrots are a good example. Maybe it's my taste buds or something?

I agree. I quit eating tomatoes once they are out of season. We bought one of those 3 packs of peppers (green, red, yellow) from the grocery. They didn't have any flavor whatsoever.

Var. Bottle Rocket from Johnny's Selected Seeds. Super hot but with a pronounced delicious chile flavor and open pollinated so seeds can be saved. Very similar to Bangkok, my former favorite Thai chile now unavailable. I'll dry these...

The only peppers I grow are Bell Peppers, now I may have to give them up or at least cut down. I've read that they can inflame arthritis.Tomatos are in that Night shade family as well. Great, my arthritis don't need any help in inflammation. Besides hot peppers are not my thing.

I might give those a try next year. Thai food is one of my favorite cuisines.

My first attempt at hot sauce (Louis cover your eyes🤣). Can't wait to try it in earnest in a few days. Used 10-12 oz. Of my garden peppers. Was also informed by management I wasn't allowed to make it in the house again. I'm my defense, I was left unsupervised at the beginning of the project.😐
