would it be possiable to have a small corner where some of us that cant, afford the quility high dollar items .can get together and discuss our accouterments and firearms with out fear of someone stomping our post because they dont like guns from india or bags made by common people or a cowhorn that only holds powder i only ask so that the lower class and that what we are to some , can feel free to talk about ,our things. with people on the same level . :v

Let em stomp all they want .. for all the good it will do them! :rotf: I simply do, and make do with the best I can! Iffin ya dont like what I have ... then close your eyeballs I say!

If I cannot afford something I cannot afford it! :hmm: I try not to let folks bulldose me past a certain point! Buy what you can, and enjoy it I say! We have enuff of that silly behavior on other sites ... peoples bein what they are! :hatsoff:

I believe if you go back and read the thread ,that the thread was about a Mike Brooks fowler not a Jackie Brown fowler. After Mark announced that he had bought the fowler there were posts to the effect that he had wasted his money.AS someone who seriously considered purchaseing the fowler myself I think it was in poor taste to critizie Mark instead of congradulating him on a fine purchase.

Sorry you feel that way. I survive on an income so scant that most people here would not even believe it possible. My primary ML rifle is a Lyman Trade Rifle which I've reworked and fitted with a Green Mountain barrel. My shooting bags are women's leather purses from the second hand store which I've also worked on to look more traditional. My buckskins are home made from the cheapest deer skin I could get. My powder horns and shot pouches are all home made and look it.
But I don't feel any of that makes me "lower class", nor do I feel left out of this forum nor put down by it. I just accept that I can't afford many of the guns other folks can buy and I can still appreciate the fine things others may have.

you are doing exactley what what i want to get away from trying to put down an idea because you dont agree with it , i wasnt asking for opinions just looking for others that feel the same way about things.

you are off topic this has nothing to do with brooks - " see what i mean about the wolf-pak " cant even start a new poll with out someone dragging that up.

Two-belleys

My apologies sir.If it's opinions wanted than my opinion is that it's not needed!!!!!!!!!!!

Respectfully
Mitch

Well, good idea but I'm not ashamed my CVA .50 puts its RB's in a 2" circle all day at the range at 50 yds. off a rest that is.

my mistake i do appoligise i guess i miss read your post . i am sorry i was rude .

Well it appears that you do want opinions, but only those that agree with you, sorry again but I still don't feel lower class.

Great idea! I think we should also have a forum where we can only discuss guns that have a value over $1500 so we don't have a bunch of rude comments from those who think you're getting screwed if you pay more than $900 for a gun. :winking:

Gee, IIRC I didn't say anything about him "wasting his money", what I did say was " It IS a nice looking gun but the question that you have to ask is, "For $1700 bucks more will it shoot THAT MUCH better then a $1k Jackie Brown?" I don't think it will but then I guess if you've got that kind of money to spend then Go For it."
Did you see anything in there about "wasting his money", I sure didn't.
I also said, "There's a point where you can only get so "perfect", after that you're just spending money for Bragging Rights on what ya' have.
Don't get me wrong, that Mike Brooks IS a nice gun BUT how nice do you really need to kill a deer or down a few doves?"
Nothing in there about "wasting his money" either. Ya'll need to learn to read a bit better, then maybe you won't take my posts out of context.

gezzz guys my income tax i filed last year had my income at 12,580....poverty level i think last i heard it was 35,000 or below....but ya know i feel like the richest guy around :hatsoff: ....it's nothing to do with money but in how ya feel bout yerself :hmm: .........bob

why jump on me i said nothing to you are about and i getting damn tired of you takeing shots at me on most things i post who the hell do you think you are so you make high dollar guns, so what. if you can find people who wants to buy them fine no one cares, but your attititude you have is inexcuseable you think you are a king? :youcrazy: have me kicked off this forum , if you can hell i dont care anymore i have put up with people like you all my life you are nothing more than a arrogant bully because you have so many a--kissers that follow you hope to get something from you well i dont want anything you have just shut the hell up and stay out of my post if they dont :cursing: :cursing: concern you!! and my poor-boy post never mentioned you or any thing about you . so if you have a personal problem with me lets hear what it is . or do you just like to hammer on people that dont have real good educations yea/ i miss-spell words and dont use correct commas and periods but at least i can look at a man and see a person not dollar signs. this whole thing is getting out of hand. so i wont post on your subjects and you stay out of mine .got it big shot. :nono: :shake: :cursing: :cursing:

I knew I liked you Davy  ! lol I have a 54.00 dollar cva Bobcat with a 10.00 dollar wooden stock. I have never had a problem shooting it. It's great for a 50 yard shot, a real tack driver, but as you all know, I can't see much past that anyway...
If I had 1700.00 to spend, it would probably go on my Motorcycle anyway (1981 650 custom Honda)..or maybe my truck (1981 Ford f149 1/2 4x4)... I never have extra money to spend on my rifles, I just use what I have...

Here's a quote from one of your posts:
Just because you have the money to waste doesn't mean that you should.
Seems I can read just fine......

You know what fellas? This just ain't worth it anymore. Once it stops being fun it's time to do something else.

why are you hijacking my theread .this is about a new forum . not whether your guns are expenseive or cheap. moderator can you help get this back on track.

I'm beginning to think this should be sticky'd. http://www.muzzleloadingforum.com/fusionbb/showtopic.php?tid/197362/post/306745/hl//

Sorry two bellys but I think you should take a deep breath and count to ten before replying. I see nothing wrong with Mikes post,

After all it works both ways, the guys who build master pieces should not be subject to whines about the costs of their guns.
