not knowing what ya want or need the bottle fer....what bout putting some gas or colman fuel in the bottle in the upright position and light it....and burn the cork till the fuel is gone to make the cork smaller or totaly gone maybe..........bob
If you do this it will either burn at the top like an oil lamp or shoot a jet out that will burn the celing or your face . I did somthing simeler when I was young and I burnt my face and the celing. The spot is still there. The nibbling wuth hemostats sounds good. Now I gahter apple pie is booz .what kind is it and is it leagle?sorey to bootleg the post.

You guys, If I dont get the cork out, I have had some good chuckles from this post. I worked on it a bit last night... at one time I couldnt see, so I borrowed DH bore light (shhh dont tell) and was trying to stab the durn thing (cork) with the ball puller...didnt work...patience ended, so I will try something else next time...

Now I gahter apple pie is booz .what kind is it and is it leagle?sorey to bootleg the post.

Ah, what would be so terribly wrong with taking the bottle in hand and smashing the neck over a rock..then all you have to do is pour the contents into a suitable number of glasses..invite whom you choose and remove the cork from whatever glass it happened to wind up in? :)

I would try to break it up with a ball puller, and get it out in pieces. Or if you can get the ball puller in the end, and get the ball puller loose you should be able to get a cork screw in there!

Ok, here's what McGyver would do. Get a piece of 1" pine board and drill a small hole in it big enough to hold a match stick. Don't drill the hole all the way thru. Next, place a ring of clay around this hole the same dimension as the bottle top. Turn the bottle upside down and get the cork centered in the inside opening. Place a match in the hole in the board, you may have to break some off the bottom to shorten it enough, and light the match. Quickly put the bottle upside down over the match and push into the clay ring seal. The burning match burns up all the air in the bottle neck and creates a vacuum. This vacuum pulls the cork into the bottle neck. Hopefully far enough that you can get a corkscrew into it and extract it.*

*Disclaimer: I have no idea if this will actually work or not.

  IT WORKED!!!the cork is out! It worked very well, in fact, the fabric is rough enough the cork hangs on and thin enough to pull thru... once I finally got the fabric small enough, small neck on that small crock lol....Thank you Id hug you if you were here...heck Id hug all of you lol... thanks for the ideas...they have been very helpful and very entertaining.. :) :peace:

Cookie,
Are we talking about one bottle or 10. If just
1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5...Throw the one away and drink more
wine taking the cork out properly. Also mite want to check
with friends that drink wine and know to take the cork out
rather push it in  Seriously very few wineos save
their containers. I have always used the old type jugs
for my apple pie. They hold more :hmm:
snake-eyes :winking:

IT IS my old type pie jug :haha:, that the cork had gotten pushed into ...not a wine bottle (dont drink much wine).. thats why I didnt want to break it or throw it out :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: and I dont NORMALLY push the cork all the way in...it was a small cork and when I pushed it in the jug, it just kinda went clear on thru...dont know my own strength I guess...

ok before you say just pull it out :: this cork is on the wrong side of the neck, as in it got pushed thru, any ideas on how to remove it? heck and I dont even have a kid I can blame it on :haha: :haha: any thoughts would be appreciated :)

I found this idea on the web:

This question is tough to answer without a demonstration but I will give it a
shot. The only other piece of "equipment" you will need is a clean, cloth
napkin.

First, fold the napkin into a simple square (you might be able to perform this
trick with the napkin unfolded, but I've only done it folded)

Next, make a "cone" out of the napkin, using the center of the napkin as the
point of the cone. It doesn't have to be a perfect cone but has to be twisted
from the center.

Holding the empty wine bottle upside down, insert the twisted napkin into the
neck of the bottle, center first, until there is enough of the napkin in the
bottle to cover the cork (i.e. roughly the same length).

Slowly UNTWIST the napkin and gently shake the bottle to get the cork to sit
inside the folds of the napkin.

Slightly re-twist the napkin and begin to pull it out of the bottle. The cork
will be caught in the napkin and should come out of the bottle as you remove
the napkin.

I hope this explanation makes sense. Again, it is easier to see than explain
with only text. Good luck with your trick!

Hope that helps!
