Both of the Pedersoli Manuals I have list these as Max Loads for their SXS Shotguns.

20 ga. 90 grains powder/1 oz of shot.
12 ga. 100 grains powder/1 1/4 oz shot.
10 ga. 120 grains powder/1 1/4 oz shot.

The 10 ga I have is stamped 109.6 grains powder which is realistically really 110, and 1 1/2 oz of shot.

I know alot of guys use 120 grains and 1 1/2 or 1 5/8 oz of shot for waterfowl.

All of those are pretty standard loads. I use 1.5 Fg OE in all of my shotguns and have never had a problem.

I generally get tighter patters for a given load with 1F goex than I do 2F. They will mix a case of the finer grades, but usually I have to get a full case of 1F drop shipped to me. Use it in 12 and 8 bore.

I've adjusted and calibrated my powder measures so they actually deliver very close to the marked weight when using 2FF Goex. Then I actually weighed the amount of #6 lead shot each measure delivers. An easy way to remember the shot load is to know that a 70 grain measure gives very close to 1 ounce of shot. For every 10 grains up or down, the shot charge goes up or down 1/8 ounce. So 90 grains give 1 1/4 ounce of #6 shot.

For average loads use the caliber as the powder charge; a 20 gauge .62 cal would use 60 grains powder and an equal load would be 7/8 ounce of shot. A 12 gauge would start with 70 grains. Sometimes I go up 10 grains on the shot load.
