I always have some thing to sit on, my bony butt cannot take sitting on bare ground any more. Also, there’s always something in my backpack to protect me from rain and wet snow. I guess I am showing my age.
I found a round wooden box aka a "pill box" at a local craft store, and melted the lube and poured it into that container. How do you carry the lube? PC/HC or plastic bottle?

Thanks I needed that!!!That ain’t age, it’s wisdom. ; )
Last season I bought a knife with replaceable razor blade. I found the pressure needed to dress the deer popped the razor loose. I was very disappointed. If I am hunting I bring my rifle, a possibles bag and in it is the standard powder, caps, balls, patch worm, ball puller, patches and a small bag with some food service gloves, a couple of razors and my hunting license. (I have found that 2 brand new box cutter razors make the job of field dressing much easier than a knife.)
I like what you have done. Simple, yet very effective. My hunting gear for big game (deer) is a pocket item I made that holds two quick loads, two patched balls a short starter and a sleeve to hold caps, or if shooting a flint lock the sleeve holds my pan primer. See Pictures.
I just use the razors as is. Works like a scapple really. I even use them when I butcher. Takes about 5-10 of them for most deer, I buy them by the 100 so there is always plenty around. Keep a heavy knife nearby for the harder stuff.Last season I bought a knife with replaceable razor blade. I found the pressure needed to dress the deer popped the razor loose. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.Well that list is based on what has happened to me in the field in the last 30 years... when I wasn't prepared.

You should always have your phone it could save your life. Ps iv had heart attack in the woods no funIf I'm hunting small game it's just a shooting bag with normal shooting supplies and a canteen of water. When I'm hunting deer and will be out for most of the day I carry the above and a trapper's basket with food, a hand ax, a change of socks (wool), an extra knife, a flashlight, and whatever else I may need. I rarely carry a phone.
I agree the phone "might" help, as long as there is a signal etc, but the chance of someone getting to you if you are in really dire shape? I dunnno, could be tough. You should always have your phone it could save your life. Ps iv had heart attack in the woods no fun
