I dang near Elvised my TV! They showed the new mountain man living all alone by himself in a Tipi.Back when muzzle loading was all mountain man I spent several years in an 18 foot Cheyenne lodge. When they pointed the camera at his tipi you could plainly see the inside of the smoke flaps were very white. Not a single smudge on the smoke flaps. They were whiter than all of my older undergarments. The inside of the smoke flaps are white until you build the first fire. The tipi on the show never had a fire in it. And yet the man had been living in this tipi. And then he came out wearing a brand new government arctic parka. He made Mr. Conway look good!

Aint it the truth. I dont know if I should lauph at this show or pull out whats left of my hair. My wife loves it so its on once a week, I try to sleep through it.

I would rather read a Louis L'mour Sackett book that I've read 20 times than watch T.V. .

I agree on the book, any book. I had to watch the duck show last night and it was so stupid I left the room. On the "dumb down scale", the Alaska guys are the lowest, with the moonshine guys a close second to last.

Maybe he has gas heat instead of wood.... :hmm: :rotf: :rotf: You didn't see a window AC unit in there did you? :haha:

Just saw it :( I needed taller boots! :bull: In the one I just watched, the dog tore up the Tipi. No muck, no mud you could see the BLEACH WHITE sod cloth :bull: Then Mr. I made this Tipi can't patch the rip?? He had to pull his trap line & go lower?? So he lives in a cloth house he built, in the back woods & can't patch a rip? Yea, You need hip boots for this guys :bull:

Its time in your life you will never get back..
Turn it off and walk away..You won't regret it.
Life is too short !!!

Unfortunately, I end up paying for this and other useless mind numbing muck because it keeps the wife and kids happy. I was just sitting there last night thinking about the state of the programming these days. Would you ever have thought that one of the most popular shows would be "Competitive Ballroom Dancing"?????? :surrender:

I get the feeling the networks are totally out of quality ideas and are now catering to the lowest common-denominator!

Some of the stupidity shows are just too much. I can't handle Axe Men or Gold Rush. But MM has some amusing moments and people. I like the gator hunters, really love 'em. Watched a couple Duck Dynasty shows from curiosity. Super stupid. But, dunno wats happening, it's kinda addictive.

SASQUACH-mountain man
was going out on a big game hunt-dropped muzzleloader in water while getting in canue--continues with his hunt-see's big game gets shot--""NO GO""to dumb to pull load and dry gun--

I refuse to have my intelligence insulted by watching ANY of these shows, and yes I've watched them just long enough to hit the BS button also. I hit the book store at the flea market yesterday so I have a couple of books to read.

Reading is a lost art. I much prefer to sit down with a good book than to waste my time watching the idiocy that is labeled as programming these days!
