I just ordered a hardness tester from CowboyBullets.com (cabintree). I am curious if anyone has some known 40-1 & 20-1 bullet/samples I can use to test/calibrate my new tester and to gain the feel of it using a known alloy for reference.

I can't help you there but I would suggest contacting Roto-Metals and ask them for help on KNOWN lead content samples.
