I have never carried a powder horn or flask. I used to carry pre-measured charges of powder in 35mm film cannisters in my possibles bag. Now I just carry one cannister with powder in it. If I have reload I just use my powder measure.

As I have gotten older I appreciate the slow, methodical aspects of our chosen activity more.

Hi Brian,
I mostly gave up selling accoutrements and flints do I can focus on gunbuilding. But if you tell me the ball size you need I could cut you some pieces of bamboo that should work.

Cleaning out some stuff in the shop and found some black water pipe with a .6 ID and some wine corks I use to crank out flies. They work pretty darn good with my patched .570 ball. Dump the powder and start the patched ball all in the same direction. Think I’m gonna turn some out of wood or antler. Keeps me out of the Honky Tonks.
