Hello, I'm really new to blackpowder and muzzleloader gun. I would like to build a pistol kit, something cheap and easy to begin if possible. I saw a lot of interresting kit on website like dixie and the possible shop but Dixie don't ship to Canada. So I would like to know where to find kit in Canada or if I order from a place like the possible shop will I get problem at the border, did I need a permit to own these gun ?

Lance2,
You got to be ready to flip over back wards if you want to get a pistol of any kind into Canada. If you don't believe me email CFC in Miramichi and ask.You can find their email address by searching Canadian Firearms Center at Google.

So if I understand its impossible or really difficult. I thought all reproduction muzzleloader were considered antique but only flintlock reproduction are considered antique on the CFC website. THanks for your answer.

Hi Lance,
Very simple, buy a pre carved pistol stock from any of the stock manufacturers, and then get a rifled barrel (if that is what you want ) from Track of the Wolf, as well as the other parts that you need.
If it is a smooth barrel get a short piece of rifle barrel and then ream it out.
There are many ways to skin a politician?
Here in Canuck Land you must improvise!
Best Regards
