lets say if i will settle for indian made buss should i do heritage or veteran arms?
Veteran Arms all the way!
Veteran. Of the Indian made busses the "french" tends to be the best looking as well as slightly better lock geometry.
Yes, I have one and completely agree! Now I like to tune my locks myself - just my thing - but as received it performed nicely and sparks really well!

I strongly agree! Buy an original from some of the major firearms auction companies like Rock Island Auction, etc. You can get them at about the price of a modern custom build and they are way cooler. I've bought several. Some with spring bayonets and half cock safeties which you will never get on a modern custom build.

Even the Swedish chef has one….

Well I don't know about others here but I have had mine for quite some time now and still Love shooting her.
I once shot a 2" post at about 30 yards with .72cal rb...probably just dumb luck but that what I was aiming at. Pumpkins at 30 yards no problem.

I haven't tried to work up a shot load yet but when I get time again.
All I know is every time I lay everything out and ask "So, which one do you want to start with?"
They ALWAYS point to the blunderbuss...except my youngest daughter, she pointed to the .45 Kentucky pistol, buy she finally worked up to the blunderbuss.

And for this 'pirate reenactor'; I did live near the sea for many a year, and my blunderbuss has even been fired at sea ( blanks, they didn't allow live shot)
