Yep. Some machine work reside leftover in a product that requires the end user to finish and assemble isn’t an issue whatsoever. Some folks just are very particular I guess.

I had the same pieces of metal in my Woodsrunner barrel. I cleaned it out easily and went on about my business. I don’t see an issue, it’s a kit folks, we sand and carve the stock, we draw file the barrel as well as sand the buttplate and other pieces. I guess a little cleaning in the bore after assembling and before shooting doesn’t bother me too much.

Likewise, my Colonial barrel had the same metal shavings. Removed them with a cleaning patch. So what's the problem?

I have not bought a ton of barrels, but I have bought quite a few for BPCRS guns, 6PPC rifles, .22 match rifles and a couple of pistol barrels.
I never shot any of them without giving them a good scrubbing first, they came out of machine shops.

don't know if my colonial had that fumunda in the barrel or not. just finished it and shot it.
there is only one gripe i have with the Kits from Mr. Kibler and co. the brass isn't finished and polished. and that gripe is only because I am a slob that hates polishing brass.
good thing folks don't look down the bores of Italian imports.

Sometimes we have to remove machine marks from the out side of a barrel , sometimes we have to remove some machine residue what is so hard about having to do that! We can pay to have the kit put together so we don't have to do anything to have a rifle to have. Get a life !

I've commented on this and I'm bad. But just so everyone realizes. I spent 25 + years in QA on government projects. Talk about nit picky...lol
