Sorry to disappoint you but we do not have nor ever had a Frozen Yogurt Machine at Friendship which had you ever been there you would be aware of.

Really if you PM me Dixie I will give you the Name & Phone Number of the NMLRA Director who saw the machine in question at the Spring 2000 Shoot. He is in Ohio so it would not be a too long distance call for you.

Working on it! But then Bruce wouldn't be able to carry on because he isn't a member.

I will never be a member again, and you should be GLAD I did not win the Life Membership in a Drawing I was entered in back in 2000. For selling NMLRA Memberships...LOL. :v

Bruce: The directer who told you of the purchase told you this as a joke and thought you would understand the absurdity of such a claim.
Since I go to Friendship and have for several years,go into the various building etc. we don't have a yogurt machine nor have we had one.
With your looong term membership (1999- 2000) and even shorter (less than 1 year) term as Field Rep your claims to knowledge of the NMLRA amaze me especially since you have not been to the headquarters, attended a BOD meeting which are open to all members. Also the directer who originaly told you this story lives in Indiana, and was treasurer, where this was taken from there I don't know or really care.
The facts are and always will be facts.

Bruce: Please feel free to send me all info on this machine. Everyone I've spoken to about this are in agreement that if we have a Frozen Yogurt Machine hiding at Friendship we need to find it, it would be a big hit on those 90+ degree days at the June shoot!! Probably could make some money with it to.

Frozen Yoghurt, frozen yoghurt, frozen yoghurt!!!
:rotf: :rotf: :rotf:
Darn, the primitive area misses out again! Is there a way to produce frozen yoghurt period correct for 1770 and sell it as "the frozen revolutionary cone"? :idunno:
Maybe that would bring more people to the primitive range. I need to check how far back the italien ice cream production goes...
At those 90 degree days at the Spring Shoot you're happy to carry a period correct canteen with water.

I don't think you understand the purpose of this thread! Please read the original question in the first thread of the topic!

If I "understand" the OP, it was this: "To adress point 1. I would like to get in contact with people here on the forum, who like to do video work and use a semi-professional or professional HD video camera. I know those people are out there, we just have to bring them together to get the ball rolling."
If you have a problem with people not understanding your OP, perhaps it would help if you stayed on topic? I'm not the one talking about a yogurt machine. :haha:

If you don't like it, don't read it!
That works both ways. If you don't like my question, don't answer it. I was offering a suggestion to help the NMLRA. Perhaps you didn't "understand" that?

I will be there in June, and believe you me, I
will make every effort to find this mystery yogurt
machine. My daughter loves the stuff!!

No, you just took the last part out of a whole complex of points:
"I also listed 4 pointers down here, please tell me your opinion about it.
A few pointers about what I think would enhance participation of young people in our sport:

1.) Interactive website interlinked with a Youtube channel with professional educational videos.

2.) New historical action matches, resembling tactical scenarios from the eastern or western frontier 1750-1840. The goal is to get the reenactors back to the place where they can proove their skills with live ammunition and to show the young generation that there is action beyond the video game. Basically "cowboy" action shooting for an earlier timeframe. But we have to show them and instruct them how.

3.) Mentor program: If every member can mentor at least 1 or 2 people in muzzleloading, and even with a 50% success rate, we would have a much greater potential membership pool.

4.) Membership without printed monthly magazine, but with access to online edition, at a reduced rate.

To adress point 1. I would like to get in contact with people here on the forum, who like to do video work and use a semi-professional or professional HD video camera. I know those people are out there, we just have to bring them together to get the ball rolling.

@Jack Wilson:
Would like to hear your opinion on pointers 1-4 as a proud member or even as a non-member. If you're not a member would these points be of interest to you? Constructive please.
Do you understand why I think this is exactly the right spot to discuss this topic? If the forum moderation would not be ok with it, the topic would have been closed long ago.

No. I am not a member and have no interest in becoming a member.

Uh, sure, but my constructive suggestion was for the NMLRA to have it's own place to discuss it's own business and ask it's "members" what they think. Not that it "shouldn't" be discussed here, but it makes a lot of sense for any organization to have it's own venue. Not here, not Facebook. It's the professional thing to do. IMHO

Ok, now we know and tolerate your opinion and that's it. Please refrain from further highjacking this thread in the future. Thanks.
Sorry, but you have no say in what people do here. :hatsoff:

I can help it evolve into a better orginization as time goes on.

Good luck,
The anti NMLRA folks like Pennypincher and I have been members for years, years ago and tried and tried and tried and tried.
It all ways falls on deaf ears.

That's why I used the word please. If I would have moderator powers, you would have been banned from this topic without notice a few pages ago.
Go and highjack other threads and leave this one alone, you behave like a true forum troll. Time to open ML troll season....

Sorry, I thought you would welcome any suggestions that would help the NMLRA, not just your ideas. I still think a NMLRA Forum is a great idea and would help the association communicate with it's members.
