I thought I’d share my pawnshop find and project. I’ve passively wanted a Hawken rifle for a long time. Probably ever since watching the movie Jeremiah Johnson. Last February I found this at a local pawnshop for $90. I couldn’t believe it! It seemed to be in rough shape but I thought I’d give it a go. I didn’t do much more than clean it up and polish up the brass. The barrel seems to be unpitted and it fires great. Now I have my .50 Hawken.

Here’s before…

Well, it isn't a T/C....CVA more than likely, but nice find and great job refreshing her. I would be damn glad to find something like that.

Damn, Dale beat me to it! Types fast for an old guy 🤣
Target of opportunity. Yeah, I can find my way around a QWERTY keyboard pretty well after nearly fifty years. You should see me on my old Royal Model 1910... it can get amusing.
