I made the comment in my other thread on this project that I don't necessarily recommend doing all this to a factory gun. I had this for a number of years and never used it much. Made a good "kit" gun project for about $300 including the barrel rebore.

A lot of the motivation for doing this project was just to see what I could do with it...practice for future work. As some have commented, my project gives others with this popular gun a good list of things they can "shop" from and maybe do to their gun for a few hours labor and virtually no cost.

Looking Good !
That linseed oil really popped the wood..
Patch box fits well in the scheme..
Nothing like a redo for great build workup.
Long and lean...
Thanks for taking the time to have us tag along.

I'll bet that would look great on that "snowshoe race-shoot" out east next winter..

Loved following this thread. In awe of your wood to metal work! You can reply to my posts on lockwork, or other projects anytime. Advice welcomed! Absolutely beautiful work! You have turned a $300.00 entry level kit into a work of art, and functional masterpiece, worth much more! Sentimental value to family, PRICELESS! Well done sir! And thank you for the excellent pictures and notes on you build, you have taken us all to school with this thread, and price of admission.....no charge! My follow list just keeps getting longer and longer on this forum!
There is a thread “what are your skills?,” were I you, I’d reply with a link to this post! Excellent photography too btw!
