Well, no, I couldn't say that about them. They did reliably go bang, but absolutely would NOT give up their hold on the nipple.

Thanks folks, I have one can each of #11 dixie and #11 CVA which I bought for miking the size. I'll keep them for collecting, and not shoot them in my 2nd gen Colts, like I was planning. By the way Dixie #11 and CVA #11 were tiny, smaller in every dimension (length and width) even than Remmington #10 by a whole bunch in the ones I measured.
