Just the presence of a gun is enough to stop most people statistically speaking. Nobody wants shot.

While the OP only has one round, with good shot placement one can get the job done and once the blast and noise of the shot rings out it’s a big deterrent to anyone else nearby.

The OP is FAR from unarmed with that gun. Not an ideal choice but so long as you practice drawing it and firing it will do the job if you will.

Those not familiar with muzzleloaders will have no idea he has only one shot. How many movies have you seen where they are shooting flintlock repeaters? I was watching an old pirate movie a few weeks back and the guy got off 5 shots.

A guy with one gun has little use or knowledge of guns.

One of the most pretentious things I have ever heard on this website.

Tell that to the poor mountain folk with there daddy's old caplock or a .22 who must hunt to get by that they don't have a use for the gun or that they don't know how to use it!

I've known several old veterans who got out of guns except kept a .22 or unmentionable handgun around that they don't know how to use it!

What a ridiculous comment you have made my friend!!

That's equally a good comment!

Some folks just do not understand humor and satire.

When I saw the photo I thought it was funny, had no idea that it would stir up negative comments and some saw reality in it for every day carry.

Is that an unmentionable hiding under your top?😱

Shore looks like an "in the waist band" holster does it not?

At any rate, guy did a fine job on his holster, may not be PC/HC, but the pistol is secure and not going to fall out.

Think I will go put some black on my front sight now.

Don't let anyone ever tell you you can't use that pistol for defense. My points still stand.
