My first two handmade powder horns. Thoughts? Straps were woven by Daniel Lamping.

Wow! Love that eagle scrimshaw. Beautiful work, hope my first one turns out a fraction that nice.
 
it is great as the black came out from under the white horn. a great contrast.

I can only wish I could scrimshaw, but alas - it's a lost cause in my case. :(
I just penciled the designs on, and carefully scratched them in with a few assorted tools to include a few razor knives and a carbide scribe. Lightly buff, fill with ink and wipe. You can do this!
