In the news today was a report of an explosion at Powder Inc. near Clarksville, Arkansas. The report said the explosion was in a "synthetic gunpowder factory". The son of the owner was injured. That is all I know right now. Not known if blackpowder selling will be interrupted.

We can all hope that he and their business survives. There are far to few as it is. They seem to be good people so I will keep them in our prayers! Geo. T.

I tried it and it worked for me. Sometimes they do a commercial before they let you see the video, but that wasn't the case for me.

I got a 16 second commercial and then the video.

Sounds awful. I hope it's not as bad as it sounds.

Those of us who're Christians should be praying for this young man's recovery and asking the Lord to comfort his family and friends.

Wow, I guess I shouldn't be that amazed at the lack of understanding of the English language, even in the American vernacular, of the television news reporters. Synthetic gunpowder? ALL gunpowder is "synthetic"..., "Synthesis, the combination of two or more parts, whether by design or by natural processes. Furthermore, it may imply being prepared or made artificially, in contrast to naturally." Unless there is some source for "naturally occurring" gunpowder of which I have not heard?

Um, I think you mean those of us who pray, including us Christians, should be asking our God to give healing and comfort. After all we don't want folks who don't happen to be Christian to think TMF is a Christians' only group, right?

I agree, the phrasing is confusing. I didn't know they manufactured anything.
And, yes, the son being injured is a tragedy. The burns to face and head were reported to be fairly serious. Upside is the Arkansas Children's Hospital is a great facility and will care for him well.
Yes, prayers and thoughts with the son and family are important. Our ml 'family' is small. This affects us all at both business and personal levels.

No worries Loyalist Dave. I don't think that. :v
It is interesting to see how minimal the damage to the building there is. Considering they deal with BP and such. It could've been far worse.

I am very humbled by the fact that people risk life and limb so that I can enjoy my hobby. I hope for the best for everyone involved. I too have bought from Powder Inc. and they are who I think of first when I need powder.

I've passed this on to reenacting friends to add the son and family to their prayer list. May God give them comfort, guidance and a speedy recovery.

The brown truck just dropped off my powder. Got it stored. They are GOOD people at Powderinc I sure hope things work out and the son heals quickly. A prayer sure won't hurt anything. Larry
