Ramrod difference??

If you are going to be hunting with your ML, it makes sense to practice with the rod in-place. Keep every single variable as similar as possible. I use a bronze range rod and never pull the 'field' rod when at the range.
I don't think about ram rods when hunting as reloading is not required if I do my part ,so extra ammo isn't needed .It's a habit!/Ed
 
If you are getting that size group at 30 yards, you have bigger problems than if the ramrod is in or out.

Yeah, I know. That ain’t what this session was about. I was just messing around testing a theory. Nothing serious.

This gun had been neglected and abused by previous owners. This is only my third time shooting it. As I said in post #39, I gotta get back to work to see if I can make it a 75 or 100 yard gun. I did with a TC Hawken that had a much worse bore.
