While I use leather over powder wads, any cloth or cotton fiber wad will work as an over powder wad.Just wad it up and ram it down.

I use olive oil. It's cheap, it works great and it's available in your kitchen if mama doesn't catch you.

What's a "grease cookie"? Is that like a slice of blood sausage?

I use a thin card, a blob of lube and another thin card.
Some pour melted bees wax onto parchment paper then put a sheet on top. Stamp out wads once set.
Thin felt or leather soaked in a melted grease works too.
I just call them all grease cookies.
I guess you could use sausage meat if you desire.
I prefere eating them though 😋

What is the barrel twist? That will affect bullet compatibility.

Plastic will leave a residue that will react with black powder, resulting in a hard crust.that will be very difficult to remove.

Before experimenting, take some time to read up here. You'll be surprised at how much you can learn.
