Here is another one of my horns that is a little different than many I have shown here before, as it is distressed to represent a battle hardened powder horn of our American Revolution. I engraved the Gaston rattlesnake and "Don't tread on me" on the outward side and a federal Eagle with shield with a banner on the opposite side of the horn body. The traditional way of adding some color was done to the engraving. Entire horn was given an antique patina for effect.

Great horn Rick. Clearly my favorite of your work. I've not seen anyone else attempt to age a polychrome horn and you did a super job at it

What a great horn BUT then again I have not seen one of your horns that I would not be proud to carry. Thanks for posting.
