I am the type person that if I bought 499 of the 500 tickets....I still wouldn't win!!!! My two tickets purchased are kinda like a donation to the gods of wood and metal and the talent to put them together. By the way Tipi; I think we met many years ago. I was booshway of the 84 southeastern and I think you were there....of course, you were just a wee tot :winking:and probably wouldn't remember me!

Yup, I was at the 84 event. Where was that again...in Georgia...I was just looking at my medalions...and there is was....this great big tree.

I will be at the the Fla. Southeastern and Alafia this year...if the Gods' permit. :shocking: :master: :winking:

Where was that in Georgia againnnnnnnnnnnnnn ::

Oh!!!! Now i remember....Helen, Ga. or how to swim in red clay...or was that my old White Ford Econoline 300 Van you pulled up the 30' 45degree slope with your tractor???

Had a wonderfull time....even in the rain. I think that was the year I saved several (10) Buckskinners by putting them up for the night in my Big tipi....which was completely dry. Do I know where the high ground is in a swamp. ::

Hey!!! you guys pulled me out in the 1988 SouthEastern too and in the same vehicle. :blah:

But had a great time at each one. :what: :imo: And some great stories too.

Hello Chuck, So give us an update on the number of tickets sold and the number sold to forum members. I don't intend to let $50 get away. Maybe if we bought 150 tickets you guys might even pay for that $1.29 patch knife mentioned every so often. I am sure sse could use the money. . Thanks
Zman

I've sent out over 100 tickets but have only gotten about 70-75 back. There is still time and I feel sure we can get over a 100 sold. In the earlier post where I said we had 62 tickets sold, I miss spoke. I should have said 62 tickets sent out and waiting there return. As a "thank you" to the Forum, our club went ahead and made a donation.
As I've said earlier, I'd really like for someone on here to win it. Nothing would make me prouder than to come back after our meeting and post the winners name.... I would contact him/her first to make sure it's ok though. One problem I have is that I want to enter the rafle too, but it would be my luck to win the thing and have to come back and tell everyone. Human nature would deduce that "the fix was in" and I couldn't do anything to defuse it. Heck, I would feel the same way. I'm thinking about making a little video of the actual drawing, that way I could post it eliminate all doubt. Anyway, I've desided not to enter and that takes care of that.
We use to give away 2 rifles like this away every year. One was for a raffle like this one, but the other was for club shoot participation. Ever time you came to a club shoot, you would got a ticket. At the end of the year, we put all the tickets in a tub and drew out one. Last year, a guy won the rifle that only attended 1 shoot. This year we are giving away a "years" free shoot to the winner of the participation raffle.

Remember... It only takes 1 to win !!!

yeah but he didn't say we can only buy 5 :haha:..............bob

I take MC, Visa, or American Express all through Paypal. I think if they could, they'd work something out for a pound of flesh.

I have sold all the tickets I have. We have our big members only shoot this weekend so I'll pick up some more from members that haven't sold theirs. When we sent out our club renewal letter, we put 1 ticket in with each letter, so they're getting a little scarce. On Monday, I'll let everyone know how many tickets we have left.

Thanks Slowpoke for letting us in on allowing you to be the numbero uno saleman for this here raffle :blah:. I thought south of the mason/dixon line that you all called that pretty gun a raffle, now you're trying to call it a rifle. Other than the spelling what is the difference?
Zman

Hey slowpoke - I don't care if you win that rifle gun, just so long as yer five tickets aint the only ones in the hopper!!!!!!!!!!!! :winking:

Regards, sse

Last Chance.....

There are only 17 tickets left for the raffle and I have them. They will be sold on a first come basis. If you're interested please e-mail me at [email protected]. After these are sold, no more will be offered.
We will have to wait until December 18th to draw for the rifle because we sent out (1) raffle ticket in the renewel letter to our members and these tickets will trickle in from now until the 18th.
Please don't hold me to this but we normally only get about a 1/4 of the tickets back that we mailed out so I'm actually looking for about 300-325 total tickets sold.

Thanks

Dec 18 isn't that far away, is it? :: Once I am notified to come pick up my gun, I think it will be a longer wait to find the time to get to Maryland. I think I am beginning to feel sick. :imo:
I think the bigger problem is going to be providing counseling to Bob1961 if his tag isn't pulled. Shoot, he may have to go fill another one of those doe tags as therapy. :haha:

Did you sell the most tickets :: with your group?

Looks like they could make money on this again next year. :redthumb:

Slowpoke,
you have done good.my club the columbus muzzleloading gun club has a simalar drawing for a very nice custom built gun and a couple other prizes that they draw for at their Memorial Day shoot next year. unlimited ticket sales $1.00 apiece or 6 for $5. i hope i can do as well as you have when i post this drawing, which will be soon i hope. i hope a lot of forum members will paricipate.
snake-eyes :peace: :)

Tipis,
It looks like it's going to be split down the middle from our club and the forum. I'm really hoping that someone from the Forum wins... I really want to stick it to our club members that didn't buy tickets. Plus I want to brag here !

Next years gun is finished and I'm going to post a picture of it next week. It's carved, has a patchbox, and percusion No tickets will be sold until the summer of next year but I'd like for everyone to take a look.
